OEP’s most popular professional development, this three day tour of energy sites around Central Ohio provides teachers with the opportunity to learn from professionals in the energy industry. 2012 Tour stops will include:
AEP Conesville Coal Burning Power Plant;
The Ohio State University Research Facilities-Nuclear Reactor Lab, High Voltage Lab, Center for Automotive Research;
Renewable Energy Facilities;
The Energy Co-Op-propane, natural gas exploration, Ohio petroleum production, electric safety demonstration;
American Electric Power Corporate Headquarters

Primary Energy Professional Development-August 2012
OEP is excited to offer a new program for 1st-3rd grade teachers. This professional development workshop provides training, energy curriculum, and a kit of classroom activities. Workshop content includes:

Materials Library
OEP has kits available for teachers to borrow. Schools can borrow these materials for two weeks. Contact Sue Tenney for more information on borrowing these materials.
